The ratio of two number are 2:5. if 10 is added to each of them,their ratio becomes 1:12. find the numbers​

Given -

Ratio of two numbers = 2:5

After adding 10 to each of them the ratio becomes 1:12

To Find- The numbers

Solution-

Let us assume numbers are 2x and 5x.

When 10 is added to both the numbers,

The number becomes, (2x+10) and (5x+10)

Since the new ratio is 1:12

Therefore, (2x+10/5x+10) = 1/12

                  24x + 120 = 5x +10

                  19x            = -110

                   x               = -110/19

Now the two numbers are ($2* \frac{-110}{19}$ +10) and (5$*\frac{-110}{19}$ +10)

                                          =$\frac{-30}{19}$ and $\frac{-360}{19}$
