Find :-

Explanation

Let,

• First Number be = x
• Second Number be = y

Case(1).

(Ratio of two number = 2:3)

➡x : y = 2:3

➡x/y = 2/3

➡ 3x - 2y = 0 ___________(1)

Case(2).

(Their sum is 85)

➡ x + y = 85____________(2)

Multiply by 2 in equ(2)

➡ 2x + 2y = 170 ___________(3)

Add equ(1) & (3)

➡3x + 2x = 170

➡5x = 170

➡x = 170/5

➡x = 34

Keep value of x in equ(1)

➡3 × 34 - 2y = 0

➡2y = 102

➡y = 102/2

➡y= 51

Hence

• First Number be x = 34
• Second Number be y = 51

And,

Second Number be greatest Number y = 51
