Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no. =8x and 7x

so ATQ

 \frac{8x - 2}{7x - 2}  =  \frac{7}{6}  \\ 6(8x - 2) = 7(7x - 2) \\ 48x - 12 = 49x - 14 \\ 48x - 49x =  - 14 + 12 \\  - x =  - 2 \\ x = 2

so 8x = 8×2=16

and 7×2=14

Answer:

LET THE DIGIT BE =8x

LET THE DIGIT BE =7x

8x-2/7x-2 = 7/6

6(8x-2) = 7(7x-2)

48x-12 = 49x - 14

14-12 = 49x-48x

2 = x

the number is 8X2=17, 7X2=14
