SOLUTION :-

Let the 1st number be - x

Let the second number be - y

According to question ,

x/y = 801

=> x = 801y _____(i)

x - y = 623

=>x = 623 + y _____(ii)

By substituting the value of x from equation (i) to equation (ii) we get ,

801y = 623 + y

=> 801y - y = 623

=> 800y = 623

=> y = 623 / 800

=> y = 0.778

x = 623 + y

=>x = 623 + 0.778

=>x = 623.778

Answer :- Therefore the value of x is 623.778 and y is 0.778 ...
