the ratio of two number is 3:4

let the number first number is X and second number is y

X/y=3/4........(1)

x - y=8........(2)

from equation 1 ,

X/y=3/4

X=(3/4)×y

now put the value of X in equation 2

x - y= 8

(3/4)y - y =8

(3y - 4y)/4=8

- y/4=8

y=-32

so that

X=(3/4)y

X=3/4×(-32)

x=3×(-8)

X=-24

hence the value of X and y is,

X=(-24)

y=(-32). Answer

I hope that helps you

Annesha892: so, the number must be same in the case of ratio as the they are in the same ratio
Annesha892: 24,32
Shahoodalam: ok
Annesha892: so, you can't multiply two different numbers in the same ratio
Shahoodalam: thank you
Annesha892: hope, it is clear to yo
Annesha892: you*
Annesha892: you are most welcome
Shahoodalam: good job dear
Annesha892: its my pleasure
