Let The numbers be 12x , 13x .

Given, Numbers are reduced by 20 .


12x - 20 / 13x - 20 = 2/3

3 ( 12x - 20 ) = 2 ( 13x - 20 )

36x - 60 = 26x - 40

36x - 26x = 60 - 40

10x = 20

x = 2 .

Now, The numbers are 2(12) , 2(13) = 24 , 26 .
