Let the numbers be 3x and 2x.

(3x)² - (2x)² = 500

9x² - 4x² = 500

5x² = 500

x² = 100

x = ± 10

2x = 20    OR    2x = -20

3x = 30    OR    3x = -30

∴ The two numbers are either 30, 20 or -30, -20.

let the no. be x..

so, so 3x and 2x

Now difference between their square

= (3x)^2-(2x)^2=500

500 = 9x^2 -4x^2

500 =5x^2

500÷5=x^2

100 = x^2

√100= 10

so; x=10

Now; 3x=3×10=30

2x=2×10=20

So the no.'s are 30 and 20...
