Solution :-

Given ratio = 3:4

\ ⟹ let take the ratio be in x

\ ⟹ There sum is 420

\ ⟹ 3x + 4x = 420

\b⟹ 7x = 420

\ ⟹ x = 60

⟹ Greater number is 4x = 4(60)

Answer is 240

It is given that ratio between two numbers is 3 : 4

Therefore, 3x + 4x = 420

7x=420=>x=420/7=60

Therefore, the greater number =4×60 = 240
