So, the numbers are 3x and 5x

Now we are given that the difference between the cubes of the numbers is 784

(5x)^3-(3x)^3=784

125x^3-27x^3=784

98x^3=784

x^3=\frac{784}{98}

x^3=8

x=\sqrt{3}{8}

x=2

Numbers  : 3x = 3 \times 2 = 6   , 5x = 5 \times 2 = 10

So, the numbers are 6 and 10

Now we are supposed to find the sum of the numbers

So, 10+6 = 16

Hence the sum of the numbers is 16
