Answer:

RATIO OF THE TWO NUMBERS. IS 3:5

LET US TAKR THE COMMON MULTIPLE AS (x)

THEN, THE NO. ARE 3x & 5x

By the given condition each number is increased by 10

THEN THE NEW NUMBER BE ( 3x -+10) and

(5x +10)

BY THE GIVEN CONDITION ,

(3x +10). : ( 5x + 10) = 5 :7

or ,. (3x + 10)/(5x +10)

or, 7 (3x +10) = 5 (5x +10)

or, 21x + 70 = 25x + 50

or, 25x - 21x = 70 - 50

or, 4x = 20

or, x = 20/4

or, x = 5

Therefore,. the sum of numbers

= (3x + 5x)

= 8x

= 40.
