The ratio of two numbers is 3:8 and their difference is 115. Find the larger number.

Ratio = 3:8

Difference = 115

First number = 3x

Second number = 8x

8x - 3x = 115

5x = 115

x = 115/5

x = 23

23 x 3 = 69

23 x 8 = 184

184 - 69 = 115
