Ratio of the numbers is 4:5

Addition of 4 & 5 is 9

Addition of the numbers is 36 which is 4 times 9

Multiply 4 and 5 by 4 to get 16 & 20

The large one is 20, and the other is 16.

Generally, this shortcut goes as follows

Ratio is p:q

Sum of the numbers is S

Let r = S/(p+q)

So the numbers shall be

p*r and q*r

q*r shall be larger if q>p.
