The first term of a ratio is known as its antecedent.

And the second term is the consequent.

Given,..

Antecedent = Rs.9000

Ratio = 3:5

Aim:-

To find out the consequent.

ratio =  \frac{antecedent}{consequent}

3:5 = 9000/ consequent.

 \frac{3}{5}  =  \frac{9000}{consequent}

consequent×3= 9000×5

consequent = 9000×5/3

consequent = 3000×5=Rs. 15000

Thus, the consequent will be Rs. 15000
