The ratio of two sides of a parallelogram is 3:4. If its perimeter is 56cm, what are the lengths of the sides?

so

56=14x

x=56/14

Here is your answer...

let the two sides of parallelogram be 3x and 4x...

we know that in a parallelogram opposite sides are parallel and equal...

so the sides will be 3x, 4x , 3x and 4x

so perimeter is given by...

3x + 3x + 4x + 4x = 56

14 x = 56

x = 4

so the sides will be

3 × 4 = 12 cm

4 × 4 = 16 cm

hence the sides are 12 cm, 16cm , 12cm and 16cm...
