magnetic induction at the point on the equator of a magnet is given by,
B=\frac{\mu_0}{4\pi}\frac{M}{r^3}

where \mu_0 is permeability of medium, M is magnetic moment and r is the distance between midpoint of magnet and poijt of observation.

again, magnetic induction of a point on the axis of a magnet is given by,
B'=\frac{\mu_0}{4\pi}\frac{2M}{r^3}

now, ratio of magnetic field = B'/B

= \frac{\mu_0}{4\pi}\frac{2M}{r^3}/\frac{\mu_0}{4\pi}\frac{M}{r^3}

= 2/1
