let mass of mixture = m
mass of A = 2m/5
mass of B = 3m/5
according to Graham 's law of diffusion
RA/RB = √(MB/MA)
1/4 = √( MB/MA)
1/16 =MB/MA
MA = 16MB
now , mole fraction of A =
2m/5MA/(2m/5MA + 3m/5MB)
2m/5MA/(2m/5MA + 3m/5(MA/16))
2/5/( 2/5 +48/5)
2/(50) = 0.04
mole fraction of B = 1 -mole fraction of A = 1 -0.04 = 0.96
mass of A = 2m/5
mass of B = 3m/5
