the ratio of volumes of three buckets is 3:4:5. buckets contain the mixture of water and alcohal. if the mixture contains water and alcohal in ratio 1:4, 1:3 and 2:5 respectively, then find the ratio of water and alcohal when mixture in all containers are poured in fourth container.

Then,

Bucket 1: 15 L of mixture.

                3 L of water

                12 L of alcohol.

Bucket 2: 20 L of mixture

                 5 L of water

                  15 L of alcohol

Bucket 3: 25 L of mixture

                25/7 * 2 L of water = 50/7 L of water

                25/7 * 5 L of alcohol = 125/7 L of alcohol

So, total amount of water = 8 + 50/7 L = 78/7 L

And, total amount of alcohol = 27 + 125/7 L = 314/7 L

Ratio = 78/7 : 314/7 = 39:157

Sounds like a bad ratio, but I am assuming this is the answer.
