Let the initial volume of solution be 4L ( 1L water and 3L spirit) L = liters
Volume of solution is increased by 25% ( 4 + [{25*4}/100]) = 5L
But only spirit is added ( Initial 4L after addition 5L ) therefore 1L of spirit is added.
Spirit = 4L and water = 1L
Resultant ratio of water:spirit = 1:4

Spirit = 4L and water = 1L
