Answer:

The Ratio of  velocities of the two wavenumbers is 2:1.

Explanation:

Given ratio between two radiation  is 1:2

Now we know that the relation between wavenumber and wavelength is  given as

  K = \frac{2\pi }{\lambda}   ----------(i)

   where K = is wavenumber

    λ = wavelength

Also we know that relation between wavelength and velocities is given by

   νλ= V    ---------(ii)

ν = frequency

 λ =  wavelength

 V = velocity

from (i)  and  (ii) relation between K and V is

 K=\frac{2\pi \nu}{V}

The ratio of wavenumber is given  1:2

 \frac{K_{1} }{K_{2} } = \frac{\frac{2\pi \nu}{V_{1} } }{\frac{2\pi \nu}{V_{2} } }      \\ \\   \frac{K_{1} }{K_{2} } = \frac{V_{2} }{V_{1} } \\ \\    \frac{1}{2} = \frac{V_{2} }{V_{1} }

 \frac{V_{1} }{V_{2} }= \frac{2}{1}

The Ratio of velocities of the wavenumber is as 2:1.
