Given, the weights of copper and tin are in the ratio 22 : 3

Let the constant be x

Let the weight of coper be 22x and weight of tin be 3x

Guven, the weight of tin in a bronze article weighing is 500g

According to the question,

22x + 3x = 500

➾ 25x = 500

➾ x = \dfrac{500}{25}

➾ x = 20

Weight of copper ➾ 22x

➾ 22 × 20

➾ 440 grams

Weight of tin ➾ 3x

➾ 3 × 20

➾ 60 grams

let the weight of copper be 22x and tin be 3x
therefore
22x+3x=500
25x=500
x=500/25
x=20gm
22x=22×20
=440 gms
3x=3×20=60gms
