Given ,

ㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤRatioㅤㅤㅤ = 13:7

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ Total weight = 500 g

☯︎ Let the weight of the metals be x

° The weight of copper = 13x

ㅤㅤ The weight of zinc = 7x

° According to the Question ,

ㅤㅤㅤ Copper + Zinc = Brass

ㅤㅤㅤ 13x + 7x = 500 g

ㅤㅤㅤ 20 x = 500

ㅤㅤㅤ x = 500 / 20

ㅤㅤㅤ x = 50 / 2

ㅤㅤㅤ x = 25 ㅤㅤㅤ---------- ( 1 )

Amount of Copper = 13x

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = 13 × 25 ( from 1 )

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = 325

Amount of Zinc = 7x

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 7 × 25 ( from 1 )

° Amount of Copper = 325 g

Amount of Zincㅤㅤ= 125 g

i.e , Total Amount = ( 325 + 125 ) g
