Let the numbers in the ratio be 13x and 7x

It means weight of copper = 13x

Weight of zinc = 7x

Given, weight of brass = 700 gm

According to the question,

13x + 7x = 700

20x = 700

x = \dfrac{700}{20}

x = 35

Weight of copper = 13x = 13 × 35 = 455 grams

Weight of zinc = 7x = 7 × 35 = 245 grams

Heya mate, Here is ur answer

<b>Let the common ratio be x.

Then weight of copper metal in brass alloy =13 x

weight of zinc metal in brass alloy=7 x

Total weight of alloy(utensil) =13x+7x

=20 x

A/Q

Weight of brass utensil=700 gm

So,

20x=700

x=700/20

x=35

So, weight of copper in brass utensil=13×35

=455

Weight of zinc in utensil=7×35

=245
