The ratio of weights of tin and zinc in an alloy is 2: 5. How much zinc is there in
31.5 g of alloy?​

Answer:

Weight of Tin =2x

Weight of Zinc =5x

Total weight of Alloy -

Weight of Tin+Weight of Zinc=31.5g

2x+5x=31.5g

7x=31.5g

x=4.5g

Hence,

Weight of Tin =2x=2×4.5=9g

Weight of Zinc =5x=5×4.5=22.5g
