Given:-

ratio of rectangular field = 5:2

and,

width = 40 metres

Find :-

length of rectangular field=?

Solution,

Let the ratio of length = 5x

and ratio of breadth = 2x

A/q

ratio of breadth = 2x

=> 2x = 40

=> x = 40/2

=> x = 20

So,

length of rectangular field is = 5x

= 5×20

= 100

Hence,

Its length is 100 metres.

Let the common be x.

So,

The Length = 5x.

The Breadth = 2x.

It is given that,

2x = 40.

➝ x = 40/2.

➝ x = 20.

So, The Value Of X = 20.

Now, Calculating Length.

Length = 5x.

➝ 5x = 5 × 20 = 100.

Hence, Length = 100 metres.
