ANSWER:--------

given the ratio between zinc and copper in brass is 13 : 7

let the quantity of zinc and copper be 13x and 7x respectively.

→ 13x + 7x = 100kg

→ 20x = 100kg

→ x = 100/20

→ x = 5kg

hence, quantity of zinc present in 100kg brass = 13x = 13 × 5 = 65kg

pieces of zinc =13x

pieces of copper=7x.

13x+7x=100

20x=100

x=100÷2

x=50

piecesof zinc =13×50

=650
