The ratio of zine and copper in an alloy is 7:9 if the weight of copper in the alloy is 11point7 kg find the weight of zine in it

7:9= y:11.7

=y*9 = 7*11.7

= y= 7*11.7/9

= 81.9/ 9

= 9.1

therefore, the weight of zine in the alloy= 9.1 kg
