5x+8x=26
13x=26
x=26/13=2
age of amritha=5*2=10
age of esha =8*2=16

So 5x + 8x = 26 ( given )
13x = 26
x = 26÷13 = 2
So ages are :-
5x ( 5 × 2 ) = 10
8x ( 8 × 2 ) = 16


Hence , 10 + 16 = 26
