Given :  rational number in the form of p/q,

To find : HCF of p & q

Solution:

p  & q are co prime

HCF = Highest Common Factor

Prime Number :  A prime number  is a natural number greater than 1 that cannot be formed by multiplying two smaller natural numbers.

Co-Prime Numbers :

In mathematics, two integers (p and q) are co-prime , if they share no common factors other than 1

In other words, there is no number, other than 1, that is common between p & q

p  & q are co prime  so only common factor is 1

Hence HCF = 1

Hence HCF of p and q  = 1
