(a)3/8=0.375

(b)7/16=0.4375

$\frac{5}{16}$ in decimal form = 0.3125

$\frac{1}{2}$ in decimal form = 0.5

As per your question, the given options are :

$\frac{3}{8}$ in decimal form = 0.375

$\frac{7}{16}$ in decimal form = 0.4375

$\frac{1}{4}$ in decimal form = 0.25

$\frac{13}{32}$ in decimal form = 0.40625

We observe that 0.375, 0.4375 and 0.40625 lies between 0.3125 and 0.5.

Hence, $\frac{1}{4} = 0.25$ doesn't lie between $\frac{5}{16}$ = 0.3125 and $\frac{1}{2}$ = 0.5
