The rationalizing factor of  \dfrac{1}{\sqrt{50}} is  \sqrt {2} .

This is because,

 \dfrac{1}{\sqrt{50}} = \dfrac{1}{5\sqrt{2}}

=  \dfrac{1}{5\sqrt{2}} × \red{\dfrac{\sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}}}

=  \dfrac{\sqrt{2}}{10} .

When you want to rationalize any denominator multiply the numerator, and denominator by its conjugate. [(a - b) for (a + b).]
