Each committee has 4 members

Step-by-step explanation:

three different subcommittee with total of 12 members.

Let say 1st  has  A members

2nd has B  Members

3rd has  12- (A + B)   Members

The number of members of the first subcommittee is half the sum of the members of the other two subcommittee

A  = (B + 12 - (A + B))/2

=>2A  =  12 - A

=> 3A = 12

=> A = 4

1st Committe has 4  members

number of members of the second subcommittee is the sum of the members of the other two subcommittee.

B  = (A  + 12 - (A + B) /2

=> 2B = 12 - B

=> 3B = 12

=> B = 4

2nd Committee has 4  members

3rd Committee has 12 - (4 +4) = 4 members
