Given conditions ⇒

Absolute Refractive Index of Glass = 1.5

Absolute Refractive Index of Glycerine = 1.57

∵ Refractive Index of glycerine w.r.t to glass = Absolute Refractive Index of glycerine/Abso. Refrac. Index of glass.

= 1.47/1.5

= 0.98

Hence, refracting index of glycerine relative to glass is 0.98.

Hope it helps.
