The reaction of aqueous KMnO₄ with H₂O₂ in acidic  conditions gives Mn²⁺ and O₂.

Explanation:

2KMnO{4} + 3H2} SO4}  + 5H2} O2}K2}SO4} + 2 MnSO4} + 8H2} O + 5O2}

This is the reaction for acidic conditions.

2MnO4}^- + 5 H2}O2} + 6H^+2Mn^2^+ + 8 H2} O + 5 O2}

Mn is oxidizing agent in which +7 is reduced to +2.

KMnO4 is reducing agent and H2O2 is oxidized to O2.

Mn oxidation number is +2 in MnSO4.

Oxidizing agent

Redox reaction, the reactant which electrons removed from other reactants. These electrons takes for itself, which is reducing and gaining electrons.it is an electron acceptor.

Reducing agent

In redox reaction, the reactant lose electrons so it is oxidizing.  Formic acid, earth metals and sulfite compounds are examples for reducing agents. It lose electrons and other substances are reduced. Its oxidation state increased.
