Reaction of Slaked lime with water :

No reaction occurs means no new substances is formed

But Ca(OH)2+H2O ---> Ca²⁺ (aq)+ 2OH⁻ (aq)

Reason :

Slaked lime means calcium Hydroxide  which is produced by reaction of calcium oxide and water . Lot of heat is liberated in this reaction.

Chemical Reaction is :

CaO + H2O---->Ca(OH)2 + Q

so again if it is dissolved in water , it only splits into ions.

Ca(OH)2+H2O ---> Ca²⁺ (aq)+ 2OH⁻ (aq)
