Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

Distance = 12.77 m

● Explanation -

Firstly the driver will take 0.7 s to react (push break) after seeing signal. Distance travelled by the car in this time will be -

s' = u.t

s' = 8.33 × 0.7

s' = 5.83 m

When the driver presses break, distance covered by car during deceleration is -

v^2 = u^2 + 2a.s

0^2 = 8.33^2 + 2×(-5)×s

s = 69.4 / 10

s = 6.94 m

Total distance travelled by car before stopping is -

Distance = s' + s

Distance = 5.83 + 6.94

Distance = 12.77 m

Thanks dear...
