The rear view of mirror of a car is a plane mirror. A driver is reversing his car at speed of 2 m/s. The driver sees in his car in his rear view mirror the image of a truck parked behind his car. The speed at which the image of the truck appears to approach the driver will be:

Since the mirror is a plane mirror , so the speed in which the car is reversing is same the speed in which we are seeing in the mirror about the approaching bus. So the speed at image of the truck appears to approach when the driver sees this in the rear mirror of car will be (2+2) m/s , i.e 4 m/s
