The reason for swelling of guard cell is due to presence of:

Guard cells generally have small pores through which solutes and water either enter or leave the cells. This movement of solutes and water in and out of the cell causes the cell to swell or shrink. When these solutes enter the cell then the water potential inside the cell reduces which leads the osmotic water to flow into the guard cells. This causes the pressure inside the guard cells to increase which makes the stomatal pores to open which results in the swelling of guard cell. While the loss of water through the guard cell making the stomatal pores to close results in shrinking.
