The reciprocal of x-1 is 1/x-1...

As the reciprocal of x (x can also be taken as x/1 and anything divided by one is the number itself...) = 1/x, thus the reciprocal x-1 (x-1/1) is 1/x-1...

x-1 can also be written as x-1/1 as if there is nothing in the denominator then it represents 1............ So its reciprocal = 1/x-1..................... So 1/x is wrong.... It will be 1/x-1... :-)
