Area of rectangle is L*B

if we take PQ as B,

we get area 660cm²

if we take SR as B,

we get area 600cm²

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer:

By Pythagoras Theorem for Δ PQS

(QS)^{2} = (PS)^{2} + (PQ)^{2} \\(QS)^{2} = (60)^{2} +(11)^{2} \\(QS)^{2} = 3600 + 121\\(QS) = \sqrt3721\\(QS) = 61\\\\

By Pythagoras Theorem for Δ SQR

(SR)^{2} = (QR)^{2} + (SR)^{2} \\(61)^{2} = (QR)^{2} + (10)^{2} \\3761 = (QR)^{2} + 100\\(QR)^{2} = 3761 - 100\\(QR)^{2} \sqrt{3661} \\(QR) = 60.174\\

Area of Δ PQS = \frac{1}{2} × b × h

                        = \frac{1}{2} × 60 × 11

                        = 30 × 11

                        = 330 sq. cm.

Area of Δ SQR = \frac{1}{2} × b × h

                        = \frac{1}{2} × 60.174 × 10

                        = 10 × 60.174\\

                        = 300.87 sq. cm.

Area of Quadrilateral PQRS = Area of Δ PQS + Area of Δ SQR

                                              = 330 + 300.87

                                              = 630.87 \\ sq. cm.
