The rectangular block of metal measuring 4cm by 5 cm by 6 cm was melted down to make a block 8 cm long by 3 cm wide. How high was the block ?

volumes of both articles will be same.
4×5×6=8×3×b
5×2=2×b

b=5.

since volume of rectangular block = 4*5*6 = 120 cm³  Which is melted down to make block of dimension 8*3*x         where x be the height of the block . now height of block => x = 120/24 = 5 cm .   hope you got the answer
