Solution:

The rectangular components of a vector lying in XY plane are ( N +2) and 1.

Vector magnitude =√ { (N + 2)² + 1²}

Coordinate system is turned by 300, they become N and 4

Vector magnitude =√ { N² + 4²}

√ { (N + 2)² + 1²}  = √ { N² + 4²}

=> (N + 2)² + 1²  = N² + 4²

=> N² + 4N + 4 + 1 = N² + 16

=> 4N = 11

=> N = 11/4

value of N  is 11/4
