the rectangular Courtyard is 20 m 16 cm long and 15 m 65 cm board. it is to be prepared with square stones of the same size. find the least possible number of such stones​

Solution:

Length= 20m 16cm= 2016cm,

Breadth= 15m 60cm= 1560cm

HCF of 1560 and 2016= 24

∴ Side of each square stone required= 24cm

∴ The least number of stones=

\frac{1560}{24}  * \frac{2016}{24}= 65 × 84= 5460

∴ The number of the square stones required= 5460
