Answer:

I am assuming, walls are not covered in this area.

With that assumption, i am giving you the number as per calculation done in feet. Coz, as far as I know, tiles come in feet untill they are for walls.

Total area: 56 SqMeter/ or 602 square feet.

Case 1: You buy 1 feet tile, required tiles are 602. You can buy 15-20 extra tiles for corner work and also some tiles might break during construction.

Case 2: 2 feet tiles:

Which are more in fashion now a days, you would require 151 tiles. Again you can go for 5-6 extra tiles.

Edit based on comments:

calculation based on size 8x7 which makes it 26.34x22.96 in feet.

I took it as a practical requirement rather than a puzzle. Like I said, usually tiles comes in squares. Rectangular tiles comes usually for staircase, walls etc.

If that is not a real life requirement, there can be, not multiple, but infinite answers by changing the size of square tiles starting from .ooo1 meter.

It can't be determined because the measure of the side of the tile is not given
