Answer:

L of a rectangular garden = 60 m

B of a rectangular garden = 40 m

area of a rectangular garden = 60 × 40

                                                  = 2400 m²

L of a path in the middle of the garden = 60 m

B of a path in the middle of the garden = 2 m

area of the path in the middle of the garden = 60 ×2

                                                                           = 120 m²

Again ,

L of the path in the middle of the garden = 40 m

B of the path in the middle of the garden = 2 m

area of the path in the middle of the garden = 40 ×2

                                                                         = 80 m²

area of the  remaining portion of the garden = 2400 - (120 + 80)

                                                                          = 2400 - 200

                                                                          = 2200 m²
