The RED colour of Haemoglobin is particularly due to Haeme group (which contain Iron +2 as central atom as shown in the pic.)

Explanation:

A Haemoglobin as the name indicate;

Haeme = Iron

Globin = Protein

Is composed of two pairs of polypeptides (proteins) and Four molecules of Haeme.

Further each Haeme group contain four nitrogen containing rings (collectively called porphyrin) with central Iron atoms, and this is the molecule which give RBC and thus blood the red color.

NOTE .: the green color of plant leaves is due to chlorophyll which has also almost similar structure except the central Iron atom is replaced by Magnesium atom.
