the refractive index of a transparent medium varies with wavelength according to the equation Refractive index= A + B /wavelength^2. Where A and B are constant. Find the dimension of A and B and their S I unit.​

As μ=Velocity of light in vaccum,

Velocity of light in medium,

hence μ is dimensionless.

Thus ,

Each term on the RHS of given equation should be dimensionless ,

that is, B/λ2 is dimensionless,

i.e., B should have dimension of λ2, (i.e., cm^2),

i.e.,  SI unit of area
