meaning the refractive index of 1st medium w.r.t. 2nd medium=speed of light in 1st medium/spped of light in 2nd medium
=>u2/u1=v1/v2
=>2.4/1.5=v(glass)/v(diamond)
=>v(glass)=1.6v(diamond)
therefore light travels 1.6 times faster in glass than in diamond

the refractive index of diamond is 2.42 and the refractive index of glass is 1.53 the diamond is having more refractive index then the glass so that so that's why the Diamond is more precious than the glass
