Answer:

we know that,

n=C/v

given,

n=1.5

C=3×10^8

so,v=C/n

=3×10^8/1.5

=2×10^8

Explanation:

we know that speed of light in vaccum divided by velocity of light in a medium is equal to the refractive index of that medium i.e. n=C/v

Explanation:

\Large{\red{\underline{\underline{\tt{\pink{Answer:}}}}}}

 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

\sf Refractive\:index\:of\:glass\:,\, \mu\:=\:1.5

 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

\sf Speed\:of\:light\:,\,c\:=\:3\times 10^8\,ms^{-1}

 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

\sf Speed\:of\:light\:in\:vaccum\:is\:given\:by,

 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

\sf v\:=\: \dfrac{c}{\mu}

 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

\sf \:=\: \dfrac{^2\cancel{3}\times 10^8}{\cancel{1.5}_1}

 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

\sf \:=\:2\times 10^8ms^{-1}

 ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

Hence speed of light in glass is \sf{\blue{2\times 10^8ms^{-1}}}
