Let n be the refractive index of the medium,
If c be the speed of light
Velocity of the light through the medium = c/n .


We know, that c = 3 * 10^8 m/s

v1 = 3 * 10^8 / 1.7 = 1.7 * 10^8 m/s

v2 = 3*10^8 / 1.33 = 2.25 * 10^8 m/s
