Given

R.I of water= 1.33

To Find

The speed of light in water

Solution -

Refractive index= Speed of light in vacuum / Speed of light in water

n= 1.33

v=3*10^8.

It is denoted as

c= n/v

v=c/n=3*10^8/1.33

        =2.26 × 10^8 m/s

The speed of light in water will be 2.26 × 10^8 m/s.
